IFCA Members and Staff

There are eight members on the Isles of Scilly Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority.

Three are elected from the Council of the Isles of Scilly; three are industry appointments by the Marine Management Organisation; and there are two Officers from
Natural England and the Marine Management Organisation respectively.

All members are aware that they are required to represent the various interests in the waters of the IFCA District in a balanced way and not as specific sectoral representation.

Interests are declared at the start of every meeting to ensure open and transparent discussion and voting procedures are laid down in the Council’s Code of Conduct under the Local Government Act 2000.
